Who can start a chapter? Any girl in high school can start a CoderGals chapter! No prior coding experience is required for our curriculum for both teachers and students. Our curriculum is very easy to learn and teach. Who can participate in a CoderGals chapter as a student? CoderGals curriculum is geared toward elementary school girls. You can find out why here. What am I required to do as a CoderGals chapter? You can hold a one-day workshop, weekly workshops, or a summer camp! It's up to you! We believe that a club is the best option as it allows for long-term exposure. All we request is that you fill out a report after each event to let us know what you're up to. Why should I start a CoderGals chapter? You will be a role model to younger girls, share your coding knowledge, help close the gender gap in STEM, have fun, earn community service hours, and give back to your community. All a club needs is a set of computers, Internet access, and a group of girls ready to learn. Where do I teach a CoderGals chapter? We suggest reaching out to a local elementary school, library, or community center. Once you register as a chapter, we will provide you with all of the advice and support needed to hold workshops.
